Ma and Pa Rogers-Family Hike

Here are the pics from my trek family's 2nd meeting. We had gone on a little hike on the rims up at Phillps Park. It was really fun! We stoped about halfway in a spot where we could all see the temple and had a devotional and talk about staying hydrated. On the way down we decided to go the "fun and challanging way" where we pretty much just climbed down one rock after another. It was a ton of fun and we are all looking forward for trek!

Ma and Pa Nelson-Meeting #3

Tonight we had our 3rd meeting with all but 1 in attendance. We had a great time getting to know each other a little more and meeting and getting to know 2 members of our family who were at their first meeting with the family. We finished our flag with the theme "Hold to the Rod" and did our bucket lids and Arm bands. We are still trying to figure out what is going to make our family unique from everyone else but we will get it by our next meeting. What a great family!!!!! We love our kids and can't wait to meet with them again. Only 2 weeks till the Trek!

Ma and Pa Nelson-Meeting #2

We had Jaelyn Nielsen and Adam Lees in attendance for our hike. (Way to be committed, Jaelyn and Adam!)

Ma and Pa Mielke-Meeting #3

We did a mile hike on Zimmerman's Trail along the rims. The boys were not able to come unfortunately, and a few girls were missing.

Ma and Pa Layton-#3 Meeting

Tonight (July 10th) we had our 3rd family meeting where we made our buckets, flag and arm bands. We brain-stormed games and fun stuff to make our family unique. In attendance were Christopher Wilcox, Jamie Fuller, Eddie Jorden, Bailey Spratling, Alex Wambach and Ma & Pa Layton. We decided our family color was going to be tye dye and we had a lot of fun spray painting and being really colorful. We also fried scones (yum) and enjoyed the evening.

Ma and Pa Meeting #2-Ma and Pa Graham

John & Jane Bailey (Ma & Pa Graham) Family hiked Zimmerman Trail Saturday June 25th. Pa Graham discussed proper care of feet, first aid facts and how important it is to keep hydrated on the trek. A challenge was given by Ma Graham to test themselves to see if they were ready for the trek physically, by walking 4 miles in one hour. Kelesa Jordan our family music person helped us sing Come Come Ye Saints as other hikers stop to listen to the chorus of young pioneers, Aspen Dimond, McKenzie Kauer and D'Mitai Ange sing. We all enjoyed the early morning hike and getting to know each other better. We hope the rest of our family members will catch up with us on the next 'leg of the trail'.

Ma and Pa Meeting-Ma and Pa Anderson

We met last month for breakfast, what's a meeting without food! We learned about our family names, talked about our flag theme, assigned a big sister, "Alex Solomon" and our historian, "Kaitlin Olsen. We are going to have a lot of fun as we work together to build this family!
